Filmmaker Profile: CHRIS HITE Chris Hite resides in Carrboro, North Carolina. He teaches courses and workshops on editing and two-dimensional animation at Piedmont Community College. Hite also collaborates with his wife, Alena, to produce animated segments for the children's television series, Smart Start Kids. They were honored at the regional Emmy Awards in 2004 for ‘Outstanding Achievement' in Children's Programming. Hite has been studying and producing film & video for the past 15 years. He has worked as an editor, director of photography, sound recordist, and animator for hundreds of commercials, industrials, and short films. Hite's previous film, The Rainy Day Escape, is a short children's story that has shown at film festivals both nationally and internationally.
