The sky is falling. The land is not yours. Solid State is an experimental portrait of a North Carolina ice storm and its relation to residence, perception, and transitive properties in the natural world.

Filmmaker Profile:  CHRISTOPHER HOLMES

Christopher J. Holmes earned his M.F.A. in Film and Video Production at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. His short film Fence Dogs was awarded 1 st Prize at the 2005 James River Film Festival in Richmond, VA, and has been featured on UNC-TV's North Carolina Visions program and in competition at the Ohio Independent Film Festival , the Anchorage International Film Festival , the Carolina Film and Video Festival . Christopher earned a BA in Electronic Media Production at the University of Akron, where he was awarded the University's Sam Ella Dukes Memorial Poetry Prize in 2001.
