SnapshotJackson Sandwich chronicles the Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis (at age 4) of Lucido’s son Jackson (now age 9). This story of triumph over the challenges of educating and understanding an autistic child encourages parents to seek early autism evaluation and intervention if they have even the slightest concern about the progress of their infant or toddler.

Filmmaker Profile: JACK LUCIDO

Jack Lucido is currently a professor in the Communications Department of Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. Jackson Sandwich is Jack Lucido’s Master’s project film, produced as a part of his recently completed (May 2005) Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro’s Department of Broadcasting and Cinema. Jackson Sandwich, produced and directed by Lucido, has recently won a prestigious CINE Golden Eagle Award has also been received a Student Award of Excellence from the Broadcast Education Association.
