Flows Intertwined captures the essence of the harshly beautiful braided rivers which are prevalent on New Zealand's South Island. The film focuses on the Waimakariri River, exploring the unique ecology that has evolved along its constantly shifting bed.

Filmmaker Profile: J. SCOTT PARKER

J. Scott Parker is a second-year graduate student in the MFA Film and Video Production at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Parker's work focuses on environmental issues and the natural world. He has received a Fulbright Grant and a Jacob K. Javits Fellowship from the US Department of Education. Flows Intertwined is Parker's first major project.
