Key West Cock Tales Key West Cock Tales is the hilarious true story of a town divided between chicken lovers and chicken haters, and the barber caught in the middle as he becomes the nation's first "Chicken Catcher." Christa Carnell has been telling people's stories since the age of 5. Carnell has spent the past decade working her way across the country in the news business. In New York she reported for WAER-FM 88, a NPR affiliate, then moved on to television at WBNG-TV 12 in Binghamton, NY, while still an undergraduate at Syracuse University. After obtaining a BA in Broadcast Journalism from SU, she began reporting and shooting news at Adelphia Channel 4 in Morrisville, NC. After Adelphia, she moved south to pursue a Master's Depress in Mass Communications from the University of Florida. While there, she wrote, edited, and co-directed her first documentary, Key West Cock Tales. Back in North Carolina, Carnell instructed at Alamance Community College and formed Twin Kitties Productions. She was named Emerging Artist by the Durham Arts Council in 2008, and is currently working on her first full-length documentary, which she describes as a narrative on debt, longing and loss.
