Pops in the Park

UNC-TV, in cooperation with WRAL, presents the 2008 edition of the annual Pops in the Park concert. This Labor Day tradition, scheduled at the beautiful Koka Booth Amphitheatre at Cary's Regency Park, is a must-see for fans of North Carolina's symphony and the state's own homegrown talent. This concert special provides the perfect send-off to summer with special guests Legends of Beach performing with the North Carolina Symphony. Specializing in beach music classics and new beach songs, Legends of Beach features five of the original six members of the legendary beach music band The Embers—including hitmakers Johnny Barker and Jackie Gore, who wrote Summertime’s Calling Me and I Love Beach Music respectively. So let summertime call you for one last taste of the endless summer with the North Carolina Symphony and Legends of Beach on Pops in the Park.
