All-New Three-Part UNC-TV Series Captures the Life of a Legendary
North Carolinian!
BIOGRAPHICAL CONVERSATIONS WITH.BOB SCOTT

In three consecutive Sunday evening episodes, beginning January 2, at 7PM, UNC-TV's Shannon Vickery elicits a never-before-seen look at the life and times of Tar Heel politician Bob Scott. In the latest installment of UNC-TV's acclaimed in-depth biographies, Biographical Conversations with.Bob Scott offers all-new, first-person reflections concerning the contributions and legacy of this legendary North Carolinian and distinguished public servant and the lifetime of local leadership to which he remains committed.

Born in 1929, Robert Walter (Bob) Scott grew up on his family's dairy farm in Haw River, North Carolina. The son of North Carolina governor and U.S. Senator Kerr Scott, Bob was not only raised with the traditional values instilled by the Tar Heel State's rural landscapes, but was also surrounded by a family with a passion for public service that would forever impact his life.

Scott's first foray into politics was a successful one. In 1965, this son of a former governor ran for and won the seat as North Carolina's Lieutenant Governor. The office quickly became a stepping-stone to the governor's mansion and Bob Scott followed in his father's footsteps as North Carolina's governor in 1969.

In the years following his tenure as North Carolina's governor, Bob Scott continued his presence in public life with his unfailing commitment to education as president of the community college system and to the Scott family legacy of leadership.

Discover more about Scott's famous political career during three intimate evenings of Biographical Conversations With.Bob Scott, beginning Sunday, January 2, at 7PM, only on UNC-TV.
