Wednesday, October 20 at 8 PM
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK - Television viewers throughout North Carolina will have a chance to see gubernatorial candidates Mike Easley (D) and Patrick Ballantine (R) exchange their views on a variety of issues in their second debate.
As part of its commitment to North Carolina voters, UNC-TV will air the debate statewide on Wednesday, October 20, at 8 PM. For those who miss the October 20 airing, the debate will repeat on Tuesday, October 26, at 8 PM. Although the live debate occurred October 15 at 7 PM in WRAL-TV's studios in Raleigh, viewers who did not have the opportunity to see the debate that evening will have two other opportunities to watch it.
WRAL news anchor David Crabtree will ask the candidates questions submitted by voters on WRAL's Web site before the October 15 debate. Questions include multiple issues and were selected from the best questions submitted.
To provide a thorough portrait of the Democratic and Republican candidates for governor, UNC-TV is airing North Carolina's Choice: The Governor on Tuesday, October 19 at 8 PM and Election 2004: The Gubernatorial Race on Wednesday, October 27 at 8 PM.
