From the Black Mountains trails atop Mount Mitchell, and the gold and gemstone mines lining the piedmont to the endless fossil digs in the clay beds of the coast, this popular series takes you on Tar Heel adventures all across the state in every exciting half-hour!
For the latest up close and personal look at natural wonders that abound around our state, don't miss the third season of Exploring North Carolina. The all-new season premieres Thursday, January 4, at 8:30 PM, with Beauty With Six Legs. This engrossing episode takes you to the world of Lepidoptera (butterflies and moths) with the help of experts from the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences and Duke University.
