UNC-TV BRINGS HOT SHOWS & BRIGHT STARS HOME TO YOU
DURING FESTIVAL 2007—Saturday, Feb. 17—Sunday, March 25

In addition to featuring some of the best and brightest programming on television, UNC-TV’s FESTIVAL 2007 also means many exciting in-studio guests! From the FESTIVAL favorite Mary Lou Metzger to the sweet sounds of musical sensation Daniel O’Donnell, tune in for popular entertainers as they host their FESTIVAL 2007 specials—LIVE—in the UNC-TV studio!

This year’s talent-full FESTIVAL begins with travels full of adventure, romance and excitement when UNC-TV presents the FESTIVAL favorite Great Scenic Railway Journeys: Celebrating 175 Years of the American Railroad, Sunday, February 25, at 10 AM. North Carolina’s own program producer and director Rob Van Camp appears—LIVE—in the UNC-TV studio to host his visits to 22 of the nation’s most popular railway landmarks in this commemoration of the 175th anniversary of the American railroad.

FESTIVAL favorite Claiborne Young returns to UNC-TV—LIVE—in the studio Saturday, March 3, for back-to-back specials from his popular Cruising Carolina series. Starting at 3:30, join Young for an unforgettable look at special spots along our coast with starting with The Inner Islands, at 3:30 PM, followed by The Cape Fear. Then, break out the bubbly one more time as Welk musical family star Mary Lou Metzger appears—LIVE—in the UNC-TV studio for the 7:30 PM premiere of Lawrence Welk: TV Treasures—the first all-encompassing documentary about the legendary television series!

Monday, March 5, join rockabilly legend Jerry Naylor—LIVE—in the UNC-TV studio for some super roots of rock as The Rockabilly Legends: They Called it Rockabilly Long Before It Was Called Rock 'n' Roll premieres at 8 PM. Besides producing this spectacular show, Naylor was one of Buddy Holly’s Crickets. Naylor stays around to host the UNC-TV premiere of the incredible Elvis Lives: The 25th Anniversary Concert, Live From Memphis. This amazing collection of concert footage from the King’s Hawaii shows comes to live through the latest technology.

Irish singing sensation Daniel O’Donnell returns to the UNC-TV studio Saturday, March 10, at 7 PM, to share his all-new mix of songs and stories from his concert special Daniel O’Donnell: Can You Feel the Love.

And more celestial sounds abound on Sunday, March 11, at 6 PM, when the latest exploration of sound and vision from Tim Janis premieres. With more than one million albums sold worldwide, Janis is considered one of the nation's most accomplished young composers. In a FESTIVAL 2007 exclusive, join featured vocalist Georgina Fumante—LIVE—in the UNC-TV studio for Heavenly Voices.

Enjoy of an afternoon full of waist management and wonder makeovers, Sunday, March 11, beginning at 3:30 PM with Dr. Michael Roizen—LIVE—in the UNC-TV studio for the FESTIVAL premiere of his all-new special You On a Diet with Michael Roizen. The trusted doctor and best-selling author returns Monday, March 12, at 8 PM, to further translate the latest cutting-edge dieting information to help you shave inches off your waist with an encore presentation of You On a Diet with Michael Roizen. At 9:30 PM, Roizen’s back to teach you to take years off your looks and add them to your life in the premiere of Real Age Makeover with Dr. Michael Roizen.
