FESTIVAL 2008 MARCHES ON DURING THE SECOND MONTH OF FESTIVAL 2008
FESTIVAL 2008 fun marches on with an awesome array of new musical offerings. Get ready for exciting, fresh specials featuring the best in popular music.
Get into the groove with the Gaelic guys of Celtic Thunder. Filmed at Dublin’s Helix Theater, the five—Paul Byrom, George Donaldson, Keith Harkin, Ryan Kelly and Damien McGinty—range in age from 14 to 40. Their powerful vocals celebrate a common Celtic heritage as they perform an eclectic mix of songs ranging from the traditional to such international hits as Brothers in Arms and Desperado, along with original compositions by Grammy nominated composer Phil Coulter.
Recorded at one of the world's most beautiful fairy-tale theme parks, Holland's Efteling, the fantastic fiddling phenomenon performs such magical melodies from Swan Lake and Hansel & Gretel in the magical special André Rieu in Wonderland.
Other memorable specials include a pair of Great Performances from James Taylor: One Man Band and Martina McBride: Live in Concert. Enjoy vibrant vocals from Daniel O’Donnell at Home in Ireland, James Last: Live at the Royal Albert Hall and Red Hurley: Raised on Songs & Stories. And discover inspirational selections from the man in black on The Gospel Music of Johnny Cash; wholesome, toothsome tunes of The Osmonds 50th Anniversary Reunion; and sultry selections from Sarah Brightman: Symphony in Vienna.
FESTIVAL 2008 also presents such performance favorites as André Rieu: Radio City Music Hall, Broadway’s Best at Pops, He Touched Me: the Gospel Music of Elvis Presley and much more!

Another medical doctor, who numbers among the longtime advocates of body/mind interconnectivity, brings new insights into creating contentment on The Happiness Prescription With Deepak Chopra. For more earthly concerns, find financial fulfillment through the philosophies of Kim Kiyosaki's Finding the Rich Woman in You.
Tried and true self-help blockbusters return to FESTIVAL 2008, as well, including the Brain Fitness Program, You on a Diet with Dr. Michael Roizen and the no-nonsense fiscal fitness regimen of super savings savant Suze Orman: Women & Money.
Since some say humor is the best medicine, enjoy some alternative healing from across the pond with the premiere of Life Lessons From Onslow: A Keeping Up Appearances Special. Illustrating his introductory lecture with video clips, the riotous classic bits end up delightfully disproving Onslow’s earnest pronouncements concerning the underpinnings for healthy human interactions. And don’t miss back-to-back episodes featuring all of your friends from Albert Square as FESTIVAL 2008 presents another fan favorite EastEnders Marathon.
