UNC-TV Will Broadcast Special Live Call-in Program on the North Carolina Economy
How does the current national economic crisis come home to North Carolina? On Wednesday night, October 1, at 9:00 p.m. UNC-TV will broadcast a live special program entitled Focus on: The Economy. During the program viewers will be able to call in with questions for a panel of experts who will be appearing on the program in UNC-TV's studio in Research Triangle Park. The program will include special attention to the impact of Monday's purchase of Wachovia Corporation's banking operations by Citigroup, Incorporated.
Focus on: The Economy will be hosted by UNC-TV's Eszter Vajda. Expert panelists will be Chris Lundblad, the Edward M. O'Herron Distinguished Scholar and Associate Professor of Finance at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler School of Business; Connel Fullenkamp, Associate Professor in the Duke University Department of Economics; and Robert Bliss, Professor and F.M. Kirby Chair in Business Excellence, Calloway School of Business and Accountancy, Wake Forest University.
Panelists will respond to questions about the current state of the economy and its implications for North Carolina citizens. UNC-TV is offering this program in an effort to provide viewers with access to reliable information and answers to their important questions during this uncertain period.
In order to bring viewers this timely special program, UNC-TV will preempt the previously scheduled episode of Secrets of the Dead.
