UNC-TV EARNS 10 EMMY® AWARD NOMINATIONS
22nd Annual Mid-South Regional Emmy Awards Revealed Jan. 26,
at Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville, TN
The Nashville/Midsouth Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced its Emmy Award nominations Friday, November 16. Among the nominees again this year, North Carolina's statewide public television network, UNC-TV, received 10 Emmy Award nominations for productions created and broadcast in the last year. From documentaries, public affairs specials, to informational, instructional and health-related content, to arts and entertainment, the nominations help provide a snapshot of the ways in which UNC-TV provides life-changing television to the citizens of North Carolina and border residents in adjoining states.

UNC-TV presented this popular program about a well-known coastal character and the network's Director of External Productions Scott R. Davis joined Common Sense Films' Rob Hill and Richard Sirianni as producers of the documentary.
The 22nd Annual Mid-South Regional Emmy Awards will take place Saturday, January 26, at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville, TN. UNC-TV will announce airdate information at a later time. The awards show is also streamed on the internet.
