UNC-TV Receives 2005 MVP Award
From American Public Television
American Public Television, a distributor of excellent programming to the public television industry, has presented UNC-TV with its annual MVP Award, presented to "a special person, program, or entity for its outstanding contributions to public television and APT." The award was presented at the organization's fall meeting in Palm Springs, California.
UNC-TV was described as "prolific, very competent, and highly professional," being recognized for either presenting or producing 52 series and specials providing a total of some 380 episodes through the years to APT members. Some programs distributed by UNC-TV through APT include the Emmy Award-winning Thank You, Eddie Hart, Billy Graham: What Grace Provides, One Stroke Painting with Donna Dewberry, An Unlikely Friendship, Lap Quilting with Georgia Bonesteel, the new weekly children's series Zula Patrol, and many more.
Also recognized with a 2005 MVP Award was UNC-TV production partner, Cutters Productions, and its CEO, Vicki Payne.
Member-supported UNC-TV is North Carolina's statewide digital public television service.
