UNC-TV Wins 3 Regional Emmy Awards
UNC-TV, North Carolina’s statewide public television network, won 3 prestigious Regional Emmy Awards during the 23rd annual Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards, held Saturday night in Nashville, TN. Nearly 750 entries resulted in nominations for individuals from 63 stations and companies in 75 categories. UNC-TV received 18 nominations for programming and related productions, including five for its Thursday night, at 8, magazine series Our State.
UNC-TV staff won Regional Emmy Awards in the following categories:

Founded in 1957, The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS), best known for the internationally recognized Emmy Award, is a non-profit, professional organization dedicated to improving the quality of television at all levels.
