Five UNC-TV Programs Receive Regional Emmy Nomination
The Nashville/Midsouth Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced November 19 that five UNC-TV programs have been nominated for regional Emmy Awards.
In the Documentary/Cultural category, Folkmoot USA, produced by Paul Bonesteel, received the nomination. Two programs received nomination for Best Documentary/Historical: Faces of the Flood, produced by Donna Campbell, and Thank You, Eddie Hart, created by Wilmington producer Brenda Hughes. North Carolina's Dependence on Tobacco received the nomination for Best Topical Documentary.
Finally, UNC-TV's premiere episode of the weekly series North Carolina Weekend was nominated in the Special Event/Live category for its coverage of July 4th festivities in Wilmington.
The regional Emmy Award winners will be announced at the annual banquet in Nashville the evening of Saturday, January 22, 2005.
