Greensboro Public Library Hosts Simple Living Forum With Wanda Urbanska, Saturday, Dec. 3
Every Sunday, at 6 PM, savvy UNC-TV viewers see a world of ways to cut the clutter and keep it simple on Simple Living With Wanda Urbanska. Now you can meet the host and co-producer of this national public television series during a Simple Living Forum sponsored by the Greensboro Public Library, Saturday, December 3, from 10:30 AM to noon. Urbanska will share excerpts from her popular show and interviews with people about simple and sustainable living.
Urbanska, who coauthored Nothing's Too Small To Make a Difference and Moving to a Small Town with Frank Levering, will share her personal experience of simple living. After leaving the glitz of Los Angeles, Urbanska and Levering moved to a less demanding life around Mount Airy, where she now co-owns the Levering Orchard. She will also reveal ways for you to simplify your life during the holiday season-and all year long. The event takes place this Saturday, December 3, from 10:30 AM to noon, at Greensboro's Kathleen Clay Edwards Branch Library, 1420 Price Park Drive.
Simple Living With Wanda Urbanska, now in its second season reaches 83 percent of US TV households on public television stations nationwide. Dedicated to educating the public about enhanced quality of life through environmental stewardship, thoughtful consumption, community involvement and financial responsibility, The Charlotte Observer calls Urbanska "the anti-Martha Stewart-an outspoken proponent of reducing clutter, stress and waste" while The New York Times says she's "a spokeswoman for the simplicity movement." Urbanska hosted the hit, national PBS primetime special Escape From Affluenza (1998) and has appeared on Oprah, Today, and National Public Radio's All Things Considered.
