UNC-TV's Independent Film Series North Carolina Visions

For a decade, North Carolina Visions has featured 192 films and videos-showcasing the richness and diversity of independent cinema in the Tar Heel State. The state's only small screen showcase for North Carolina's independent films and videos returns for five consecutive Saturdays at 11 PM when UNC-TV's independent film seriesspotlights 21 gifted hometown filmmakers for an all-new 10th anniversary season full of diverse celluloid subjects.
Beginning Saturday, October 2 at 11 PM, the tenth season of North Carolina Visions captures the issues and artistry of North Carolina's independent cinema. Bringing together filmmakers from the mountains to the coast, this year's lineup projects the powerful narratives, compelling documentaries and innovative experimental films that capture the true independent spirit of the Tar Heel State.
"For a decade, North Carolina Visions has provided local filmmakers with a one-of-a-kind showcase for their works. We have been happy to support independent cinema for the last ten years and we are very excited about this, our tenth anniversary season of North Carolina Visions," says series producer Nicole Triche. "UNC-TV is very proud to provide North Carolinians with the ongoing opportunity to view the abundant talent that our state has to offer."
Of the dozens of works submitted to UNC-TV this year, North Carolina Visions has chosen the best and brightest films with a little something for everyone.
