A STATEWIDE SHOWCASE OF RISING STARS!
UNC-TV’s Independent Film Series North Carolina Visions
Season 12 Returns Saturday, April 7, at 11 PM

From full-length documentaries to experimental shorts, North Carolina Visions, UNC-TV's own independent film series, has always offered the best mix of North Carolina’s filmmaking talent—featuring more than 250 films and videos showcasing the richness of independent cinema in the Tar Heel State.

And now the wait for another great group of local films is finally over! The all-new 12th season of North Carolina Visions, premieres Saturday, April 7, at 11 PM, only on UNC-TV. During five consecutive Saturday nights at 11, this popular, long-running series spotlights 14 Carolina creations for an premier season full of engaging celluloid subjects.

Bringing together local filmmakers from the mountains to the coast, this year’s lineup features the powerful narratives, compelling documentaries, innovative experimental films, and colorful shorts that capture the true independent spirit of the Tar Heel State. Of the nearly 60 works submitted to UNC-TV this year, North Carolina Visions has chosen the best and brightest 14 films with a little something for everyone.

Not only does the five-episode series offer local filmmakers a familiar home for their cinematic endeavors, but this season brings both Tar Heel locales and native performers to audiences eager to enjoy the local flavor of hometown talent. These local artists & featured locales include:
