Good sportsmanship is a choice. Often athletes find themselves faced with dilemmas of winning the game versus doing what is morally right. This section contains sample ethical dilemmas and situations that force decisions between doing what will win and doing what is good. We suggest that you print the case studies and discuss answers in your class. For some of the sections, you may wish to compare your views with those of your classmates.
Teachers: you can use these exercises to discuss ethics in sports compared to following the rules. Feel free to add examples from your own experience of ethical dilemmas in sports.
