Paula Edelson has produced numerous sports pieces for television. Her features include profiles of Kay Yow and Dean Smith, and highlight videos of ACC men's basketball, NC State football, and minor league baseball.
Edelson's documentary on contemporary women's sports, Watch Me Play, was broadcast on UNC-TV in May 2000. It was awarded a Midsouth Regional Emmy, as well as a Gracie from the Foundation for American Women in Radio and Television.
A writer as well as a producer, Edelson covered sports for a major city newspaper and wrote a sports column for a national magazine for two years. The author of three sports books, she is currently writing an extensive book about American women athletes, which will be published in 2002.
