Bob Schieffer, broadcast journalism’s longest-serving Washington reporter, and moderator of CBS News’ Face the Nation, faced an audience of nearly a thousand one rainy evening in late October at Wake Forest University's Wait Chapel. Bob Schieffer: 50 Years in the News relates the journalist's experiences over nearly half a century in the ever-changing field of journalism.

In his relaxed, freeform talk, the seasoned broadcaster recounts historic moments and humorous anecdotes covering the most important people and events of the 20th century's second half. Schieffer also shares his unique insights into current events. This program is produced in association with Wake Forest University.
