The participation of volunteers from all over North Carolina is an essential part of UNC-TV's continued success. Volunteers are valued for their time, energy, experience, and expertise.
You, too, can play a special role at UNC-TV. Review the many ways you or your community group can get involved below:
- Clerical/data entry support;
- Answering telephones for special events;
- Studio audience members;
- UNC-TV Kids Club events;
- Walk-around character and handler for Read-a-roo;
- UNC-TV tour guide;
- Hospitality coordinator;
- Volunteer captains (providing orientation and leadership to volunteers in the studio for pledge drives and special events);
- On-air talent for pledge drives;
- Special production personnel (production assistants, camera operators, floor managers, audio/lighting assistants);
- Local f airs (always a great way to enjoy a day at the fair);
- Mailing projects;
- Volunteer newsletter committee (opportunity for anyone interested in writing or editing a newsletter);
- Volunteer recruitment committee (recruit groups and individuals for various volunteer opportunities).
