Serena Ebhardt is a native of Raleigh, NC.  She began her acting career at the age of six when she appeared as Gretel in The Sound of Music at Raleigh Little Theatre.  Six months later, she found herself touring in a professional production of the same show!  By the time Serena was sixteen she had a full professional resume of musical and dramatic credits and was a member of Actors Equity Association.  Live theatre is Serena's preferred medium, but she can also be seen in feature films, television, commercials, industrials, and heard in voice-overs. Serena is a charter member of the YWCA Academy of Women and a recipient of the International Television and Video Association Silver Reel Award. A graduate of the University of North Carolina (B.A. Dramatic Art), she was a recipient of the Paul and Elizabeth Green Scholarship.  In addition to her performance work, Serena is a director and teaching artist with training from The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.  Serena and David zum Brunnen were married in 1988 and are the very proud parents of son, Carlton.
