Closed Captioning

Closed captioning displays on-screen text of program audio to link persons who are deaf or hard of hearing with entertainment, information and news.

Many closed-captioning reception problems can be fixed with the proper settings on your television or receiver box. Access the menu on your TV or receiver box and verify that the closed-captioning is set for “CC1” or “Service 1” captions.

If you still experience problems with PBS North Carolina’s closed captioning, please contact: captioning@pbsnc.org or 1-800-906-5050.
