Permanent Positions:UNC-TV, Public Media North Carolina, is actively seeking a content-minded, public media-enthusiast Associate Producer to assist the National Productions team which develops and licenses public television programs from independent producers from around North Carolina and the region for local and national distribution. The Associate Producer will play a critical role in content development, partnership cultivation, and project management across a dozen+ non-fiction television programs in multiple genres (arts, culture, food, history).
The Associate Producer will develop and/or vet original content proposals and programs by independent producers for multi-platform distribution with the focus on digital-first, audience-focused content; work with station directors, executive producers, and staff to produce, package, deliver, and promote UNC-TV’s national and independent productions; and lead and manage the day-to-day operations of project(s) for the National Productions division. This is a full-time permanent staff position at UNC-TV Public Media North Carolina’s broadcast center in Research Triangle Park.
Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalency and four years of progressive experience in a broadcast television, radio and emerging media environment, of which one year is supervisory; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
UNC-TV, Public Media North Carolina, is actively seeking a Financial Reporting Systems Manager to oversee the financial systems, reporting, budget administration and grant management functions for UNC-TV. This includes managing monthly expenditure reporting, budget administration to managers and staff ($28 Million budget), systems design, testing and implementation, PeopleSoft and UNC Systems liaison, ad hoc reporting and post award grant administration.
This position will consistently serve as the technical resource for staff and management and must have the ability to independently identify new and changing reporting requirements, as well as the capability to research, analyze, train, and ensure implementation of new reporting methodologies.
The desired candidate will have excellent Microsoft Excel skills, including extensive experience in pivot tables and university financial systems, such as PeopleSoft and Infoporte. Ideal candidates also possess training experience for new users on financial systems, working knowledge of post award grant management and financial reporting.
Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree in accounting, banking, finance, business administration, economics, or related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
