Permanent Positions:

Major Gifts Officer

UNC-TV, Public Media North Carolina, is actively seeking a Major Gifts Officer to work with other Development and Marketing Communications staff to maximize the financial support of major donors to help ensure the current and future financial stability of UNC-TV. This position has responsibility for helping to implement UNC-TV’s major gifts fundraising strategies with the overall strategic plan, as well as providing leadership and assistance for cultivating, soliciting and stewardship of major gifts, including annual gift donations and increased annual support efforts though direct mail and face-to-face solicitations and targeted philanthropic gifts.

Minimum requirements include an undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, liberal arts, or a related field and at least three years directly related experience in fundraising, member/donor services is required. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
 

On-Air Fundraising Managing Producer

UNC-TV, Public Media North Carolina, is actively seeking an On-Air Fundraising Managing Producer to focus on engagement, solicitation and cultivation efforts through broadcast channels and integrated fundraising strategies to drive support for the mission of UNC-TV. In working collaboratively with teams across the organization, the individual will launch numerous campaigns as part of a comprehensive annual on-air fundraising program. Through extensive analysis and metrics tracking, the On-Air Fundraising Managing Producer will focus on innovation and improvement of the fundraising methods and premium offerings, continuously evolving the strategies and impact of these efforts. The individual will develop and manage an annual on-air fundraising budget including campaign projections and program performance reports that will inform future planning. This role will also work closely with the digital fundraising, social, mail and marketing communications teams to incorporate integrated tactics in all campaigns.

Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing or communications, and at least five years related experience, or equivalent combination of experience/education. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Experience with management, budgeting, fundraising, and data analysis required. Experience with live television and editing preferred. Experience in the public media space is a plus.
 

Planned Gifts Officer

UNC-TV, Public Media North Carolina, is actively seeking a Planned Gifts Officer to represent its mission, programs and needs to all constituent groups. The Planned Gifts Officer will directly solicit donors and work closely with major gifts officers, Board of Trustee and Foundation Directors and their financial advisors and attorneys regarding the structure of lifetime and testamentary gifts that will benefit the organization. The Planned Gifts Officer will also provide active, ongoing personal stewardship of donors and oversee the programming and marketing of the UNC-TV Legacy Society outreach activities. Travel will be required.

UNC-TV has a robust internship program offering fall, spring, or summer unpaid/for credit learning opportunities for students or recent grads interested in public media. Areas of interest include marketing and communications, business administration, fundraising, social media, production, post production, editing and much more.
