Assistant Director of Data & Digital Development
UNC-TV located in RTP, NC is seeking an energetic and highly-motivated Assistant Director of Data and Digital Development. The assistant director will focus on the integrity of the systems and processes in the Advancement department to drive engagement and support for the mission of UNC-TV. This role provides leadership and direction for system analysis, migrations, API development, data processing and call center/audience services management while working to bolster data architecture, flow and efficiencies to ensure superior accuracy and data integrity. The assistant director will conduct analysis and reporting for budgetary needs and campaign performance to assist with strategic planning for online and on-air fundraising initiatives. They will ensure that audience members receive outstanding support and service with issues and feedback related to such areas as contributions, programs, communications and online activities. Working with the digital, annual giving and marketing teams, the individual will establish segmentation practices for marketing automation, oversee the activities and performance of traditional fundraising methods such the direct mail program, matching gifts and vehicle donations, and incorporate community feedback into development strategies.
The assistant director is a vital management team member that will be required to display strong leadership skills with a variety of internal and external partners and will be responsible for identifying cutting edge technologies to improve system performance and communications with our members to drive support for the organization.
Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of related experience which includes management, or an equivalent combination of experience/education. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Director of Marketing Communications
UNC-TV, Public Media North Carolina, is actively seeking a Director of Marketing Communications with an emphasis on strategic integrated marketing plans and a proven track-record of performance. This role must be able to provide leadership and support to diverse digital publishing platforms and teams. The director will have hands-on management responsibility for all marketing, communications and creative services functions that support Public Media North Carolina and its brands (UNC-TV, The North Carolina Channel, Rootle and UNC-EX). The successful candidate will use analytics, set goals, monitor work, provide feedback and evaluate results to ensure departmental objectives and operating requirements are consistently met, effectively communicated and are in line with the needs and mission of Public Media North Carolina.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and ten (10) years of experience in marketing and communications (which includes at least five (5) years managing a team), strong familiarity with integrated campaigns, project management and forms of digital marketing and communications; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
