UNC-TV, Public Media North Carolina, invites applications for the Program Coordinator, Engagement Initiatives position. The position supports the mission of the Children’s Media & Education Services Division’s statewide community engagement work by providing logistical assistance and program coordination for multi-platform engagement initiatives aimed at children ages birth-8, their families, as well as educators and caregivers that support their learning. Responsibilities for the Program Coordinator include communicating and collaborating with community partners, statewide and local education agencies and organizations, innovation thought partners to support the design and delivery of engagement to include but not limited to workshops and trainings, advisory groups, ambassador network, at home learning and multi-media supports for families with young children. This position will provide coordination of multiple statewide initiatives which encompasses prospecting and identifying partners, assisting in the development, design and delivery of meetings, workshops, trainings and events including coordinating all event and meeting logistics such as materials and activities, food, travel, transportation and contract staff, event setup and execution. The Coordinator will also provide curation and coordination of multi-media educational resources and tools from PBS KIDS, PBS LearningMedia as well as other educational platforms to be used in program delivery. The Coordinator will serve as a point of contact for partners and agencies as well as a new statewide Rootle PBS KIDS Ambassador network. The position will work closely with the Division’s Engagement Program Managers as well as Program Assistants to support the full scope of engagement deliverables which includes providing and preparing information for scheduled funding reports.

UNC-TV, Public Media North Carolina, is seeking a dynamic and innovative Director of Integrated Fundraising to join its development organization in a mission-critical and highly visible leadership role. This Director generates the largest percentage of annual funds raised by UNC-TV. The ideal candidate for this position will bring a holistic, strategic, and visionary approach to using analytics, data, operational excellence, and technology to drive the organization’s fundraising efforts. The Director should be passionate about using data to drive critical fundraising decisions and devise solutions to unstructured business problems. They will be excited about identifying ways to not only participate in but also capitalize on opportunities arising from the network’s ongoing rebranding initiatives. This highly visible player-coach should enjoy collaborating with colleagues, motivating and developing a high potential team, and serving as a trusted, creative, and proactive advisor to the Chief Growth Officer.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of eight to ten years of proven, measurable success in multiple facets of direct response (digital, on-air and/or mail) fundraising and donor acquisition, and an advanced knowledge of current and effective direct response marketing techniques and best practices. This role represents an opportunity to blend technical analysis with business intuition in a fun and creative environment.

UNC-TV, Public Media North Carolina, invites applications for the Program Marketing Manager position. The position will assist in the development and execution of marketing and promotion plans to drive brand awareness, tune-in for programming, including national programs and local content such as NC Weekend, Black Issues Forum, Sci NC and My Home, NC, as well as fundraising revenue, and event attendance.
This role will work with internal and external stakeholders to translate business objectives into marketing strategies leveraging both organic and paid media to reach key audience segments and deliver awareness and engagement for UNC-TV initiatives. Experience managing paid advertising channels including budget development and allocation, media buying and vendor management is a preferred.
Success in this role requires close collaboration with content creators, copyeditors, graphic designers, and platform managers to deliver engaging and effective marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate is organized, enjoys a fast-paced environment, has excellent writing and verbal communication skills, excellent analytical capability, and has experience managing multiple projects at any given time.
- Coordinating the planning and execution of strategic marketing campaigns.
- Working cross-functionally within the UNC-TV Marketing, Content, Growth and Finance teams to ensure alignment and approval of campaign strategy and deliverables.
- Developing media plans and working with external advertising partners in media buying and campaign execution.
- Assisting with managing numerous internal and external teams on creative development of marketing materials and distribution across platforms.
- Maintaining campaign budget including tracking and reporting.
- Maintaining the campaign and editorial calendar and communicating deliverable deadlines across teams and external partners.
- Reporting on campaign effectiveness.
We’re looking for a creative and innovative marketer ideally with proven experience in managing successful, high-performing, cross-platform campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience in marketing or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in the area of assignment, of which at least one is supervisory or in a lead-worker capacity; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
