Kids and Education Engagement Program Manager
UNC-TV, Public Media North Carolina, seeks a Kids and Education Engagement Program Manager to cultivate and build partnership opportunities with like-minded community organizations to enhance the efforts of others working towards the betterment of North Carolina’s youth, especially those who are underserved. This individual must help drive the CMES division’s engagement strategy providing wholesome and compelling educational experiences to enrich the lives of educators, children, their families and communities throughout North Carolina with a commitment to reach children that are most in need who share one or more at-risk characteristics: low literacy, children with disabilities, non-English speaking, and those living in rural areas.
This position is also responsible for managing all aspects of community engagement delivered through on-the-ground events, activities, conferences and workshops and ongoing special initiatives, including scripting and administering grants and drafting funding proposals. This position will specifically facilitate the development and implementation of community engagement collaborations aimed at youth from low-income households built to support a stronger foundation in learning by engaging them, their families and their caregivers with high-quality digital and hands-on educational content.
Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

UNC-TV has a robust internship program offering fall, spring, or summer unpaid/for credit learning opportunities for students or recent grads interested in public media. Areas of interest include marketing and communications, business administration, fundraising, social media, production, post production, editing and much more.
